Concession Stand Opener & Closer
Volunteers are needed to work with the Concession Chair to keep the concessions operating smoothly. An Opener is needed to help set up the stand before each home JV game. The Closer will shut down the concession stand at the end of the Varsity game.
Reporting Scores After all home games, this volunteer will email or call the local newspapers and school announcement line. The contacts will be provided.
Spirit, Flags & Banners An individual is needed to put up and take down the flags and banners in the stadium before and after home games. The banners are stored in the concession stand.
Video Equipment If needed, this volunteer will be the point of contact with the HS Media Department, and pick up and return video equipment to the High School for every home game.
Varsity games are recorded and replayed on the PTHS School District TV Station. The announcer(s) will announce players, goals and assists.
Clock and Scorekeeper(s) This volunteer runs the clock and updates the score.
Concession Stand Workers Volunteers are needed to open, close, and run the concession stand. All parents are assigned to work one/two games by the Concession Stand Scheduler. Each individual is asked to bring an item to sell, for example… pulled pork/buns, taco meat/chip bags, meatballs/buns, or soup.
Taping Away Games Individuals are needed to record both boys and girls away games.
Ball Boys & Girls
At the beginning of the season, an individual is needed to set up recreation and travel players to be ball kids for all home games. Information is provided; you can contact the PTSA coaches to schedule teams (up to 8 players) that will work games.
Concession Stand Many volunteers are needed: a Concession Stand Chair to set up the stand at the beginning of the season and oversees both boys’ and girls’ concessions, a Food Buyer to purchase all the food for the year, a Scheduler to schedule volunteers during home games, and an Opener/Closer for each home game.
Game Photos These individuals take pictures at games and throughout the year, to provide to the Team Guide Committee, Banquet Video Committee, Shutterfly and webmaster.
Membership The volunteer will collect all player information and fees.
Spirit wear These helpers coordinate all orders, sends them to Century Sports, and then picks up completed order for parent to collect at the concession stand.
Sunshine This volunteer provides cards and gifts for players and coaches for various occasions.
Team Guide Many volunteers are needed to organize and create the popular Team Guide, including sending emails to prospective sponsors and parents, collecting and submitting corporate and personal ads, and setting a date with the photographer for team pictures.
Team Parent These parents help the uniform parent and acts as liaison between the coach, boosters, and players if needed.
Uniform Parent This parent helps each coach with collection, storage, and organization of all uniforms provided to players.
A folder with all of the details is provided! This position begins over the summer and involves setting a place, date, and time for the banquet and coordinating it with the school district or chosen facility. Committee volunteers will be needed to set up the menu, assemble a program, and organize the event. Much help is needed to make this a special end-of-season event.
Fundraising The Booster Board oversees all Fundraising throughout the year. Current and future help will be needed for events like Comedy Night, Car Washes, restaurant proceed days, and more.
Kick-off Picnic Volunteers are needed to organize and provide an evening of fun for all teams. During the August picnic, the Board will provide information for the upcoming season, Coaches will announce players, and membership will be collected. Many volunteers will be needed.
Senior Recognition Junior parents from both the boys’ and girls’ teams work together to provide a night of special memories for the senior players. Boys’ and Girls’ teams have their recognition on separate game nights. Many volunteers are needed!
Youth Night This is a fun night that all youth soccer players in Peters Township are invited to, and involves raffles and gifts for youth players. Volunteers from both the boys’ and girls’ teams are needed to help for their respective nights.
